A Blessed Life

In the last posting I mentioned that we would have a house warming & Chinse New Year Party. We had a lot of fun. Our house is small, so people just sat wherever they could fit. We set out pillows and wedged a foam surf board up against the wall to make it more comfortable.


We prepared entrees and some desserts, but welcomed friends to feel free to bring a beverage and dessert. We are so blessed having those friends. We had champagne, margaritas, red wine and a variety of desserts.



Darin is really good at cooking. He prepared some beer-battered fried chicken for everyone.


We got a good deal on a sectional sofa, but it was too big to get it though the door, so we gave up and sold it. Wow..God prepares everything we need in our life. We posted an ad on craigslist and there were many buyers who wanted it. We sold it first come-first serve. We sold it quickly and actually made a profit. Meanwhile, my car's tires are too old and needed to be changed, so the money we made just paid for my new tires. The amazing thing is that the the charge for the tires was exactaly equal to the sofa profit. How come God knew our needs already? Of course, He is God.


After deciding to sell the sofa, we tried to look for a cheap sofa. One day, I had a call with my friend and she said they would move out soon and didn't have time to deal with their sofa, so she asked me if I want it. At that time, she didn't know we were looking for a sofa. God did it again. Here is the sofa. We love this sofa and it was FREE!
